Query - pan & tan cancellation on firm closure

a partnership firm has been dissolved. Deed for Dissolution is also done. Now, the firm wants to cancel the Pan & Tan Number. Assessing Officer & NSDL Centre are unable to provide any process for this. if Tan number is not cancelled, notice would definitely come to file TDS return. Anybody from you friends, can guide me?
