Query on Pan card

hi

you can update it on nsdl.com

I know that I can update it on NSDL.com, but my question is that what is the problem if I produce the existing Pan Card wherever required. its been 4 years since I became major and didnt face any problem whatsoever anywhere since then. Thats why I want to know if there is any compusion to update it?

as u say u were minor 4 yrs ago and hence  signature in ur pan card was of  ur father. now as u became major that signature is not bind u.

it is not the compulsion but it is just a mere fact that if u dont update u will face probem in here or there.

u better update ur pan card by filling form 49A ( Coreection in Pan Data) in any Tin-Facilitation center mangaed by NSDL it is for ur benefit.

the problem is the PAN Card you are having is for Sourav, who's a minor.

But now you are Sourav who is major and hence this card though is for nyou only does not apply to you.

When you are taking other benefits of being Major person, you should also take this up as responsibiltiy of updating your PAN Card.

secondly, I have already applied for the updation of my Pan Card following you peoples advice

lastly, even if I have become major, this card absolutely applies to me. I became major 4 yrs. back and didnt face any problem anywhere during this period. moreover nobody have been able to give me a valid reason why i cant use this card. so its unconvincingly I have applied for the updation of the same.

See, though anyone doesn't stop you from using it, check for what purpose they have used it.

If they have used it for youyr DOB proof only...

But even then that does not mean you should not get it updated

ya...I agree with you this time.............though most of the times I have given it as identity proof, it seems people dont verify it properly and thats the reason I think I didnt face any problem with it in the last 4 yrs.

In My pan card my address and Date of birth is changed. what i will do

be saying ' it is changed', if you mean it is wrong then you are required to fill up the form for 'change in pan card' which is available on tin.nsdl.com.

Meaning your date of birth is wrong? Anyways it does not serve as an address proof.. but file for updating the DOB

I have a pan card. I would like to know what I should do for updating my pan no. in my bank accounts. Is there any formality that myself or my bank  must do when remitting more than Rs.50,000/- in my savings bank a/c?

you can check the status of your application for any change/updation in your Pan card on tin.nsdl.com by providing your acknowledgement number. or if you think that time taken by them is quite enough, you can always call their toll free number and enquire.

secondly, you need not to give your pan number for a solution of these queries.
