the proof you have given to ST Dept is it same with online filled in ST -1. I think so No because u said its wrong. So u can ask how you have given this to me if proofs are mismatched.

just file documents with new ST 1 with ST Dept. and get new ST 2 with that number.

Option 1. Retain the present  registration . Amend the registration for effecting correction of address.

Option 2. Cancel the present registration . Pursue new application and get ST-2. If your clients have not taken cenvat using the bill , mentioning the old number is not aproblem as it is a gebuine mistake.

As my advocate had filled for new St-1 for correction in business address within 20 days from the previous application, i have been using the registration number which was mentioned in the st-1 form, filled for the amendment (i.e. second time). The difference in the registration number as it appears in St-1 filled earlier 
is ******PAn NO******001            

while in the st-1 filled later for amenment of address is ******Pan NO.*****002 

So when i recieve new St-2 certificate what will be the registration number   *********Pan No. ********002. 

In my aces login i can see the previous  st-1 form & St-2  but not able to login with login id on latter st-1.

So i fail to underastand the status of my application.

Is previous St-1 still valid and second st-1 has not been accepted 

or

Second time filled st-1 for correction is being processed & is my valid registration number.

Now I understand that your second application has been registered as different premises of  existanting registrant. ie why your new number is pan.......002. That means you have two ST registration, one for the wrongly addressed premises and other for correct address. solution is cancel the registration in wrong address. To login , pw of that registration is requirred. If not available , obtain the same from Range.

I am a new user to this website, just registered yesterday and i'm glad it's the right place where valueable advice from experts like you is so conveniently available for common people with non commerce background like me.

 So, first i'll cancel the first registration and obtain ST-2 certificate on second st-1 (with correct address).

Please surrender the new registration. Apply online for amendment of address in the first registration.

I have already amended st-1 first registration. How much time will it take to reflect the changes online in st-2?

Regarding the second registration, though it was applied online and acknowledged by the deptt. by a seal but it's online status shows no records for this registration. what it means? Has it been rejected by the deptt as a registration already exists against same name & address?   Do i need to cancel it by personally getting in contact with the range officer?

visit the concerned servicetax office with documents and submit the wrong st certificates for cancellation, and apply for amendment if any required, 

ACES is only document collection e-counter, it does not have power to make corrections / amendments.
