Query for filing ITR

Due to some personal family loss issues I forgot to file my itr for AY 2012-2022. The last date has passed. Can someone please suggest what should I do now. I wanted to avoid being added the list of non filers.

All my taxes are already paid from salary. Any help would be appreciated.

Quick Summary
If you've missed the deadline for filing your Income Tax Return (ITR), don't panic. While the standard filing window has closed, you may still be able to file a 'time-barred' return. This typically involves submitting a condonation request through the Income Tax portal, explaining the reasons for the delay. You might also need to seek approval from your Assessing Officer (AO) or Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) under Section 119(2)(b) of the Income Tax Act, especially if you are due a refund. In the current faceless regime, you can initiate this process via your online IT account under 'compliance' or by contacting the PRO of your region.

You may visit ITO and take the approval to file ITR
This will not be accepted. The ito may not accept it.
You are not ITO to tell that ..Given answer to question only ..

One must visit AO or CIT for time barred ITRs for approval
Only in case of refund ,you have to take approval from CIT and then file return under section 119(2)(b) of the Income tax act . Condonation of dealy .
ITR filing deadline for AY-2021-22 is over ..E filing can't be done unless there is approval from ITO
On the IT website, need to select in condonation request...allow ITR filing after time barred...then file ITR u/s 119(2)(b) selecting the reason as applicable as to why ITR filing was delayed.
Pls furnish the relevant Section to validate your answer.
