Query about amendment for ca.final nov 2012

Hello..

I have to appear in CA Final Nov2012 exam.

I have a query that all amendment from Nov 2011 to 30 April 2012 which are relevant for this exam, i have go through all that.

But the problem is that...

if any practical qn asked in exam and cleared mention date or period after april 2012,

then the Qn. will be solved as per letest amendment.

But in a theory Qn which is not relevant any date or period.. how would this qn to be solved..?

Bcoz amendment applicable after 1.Apr 12.. hence how should answer this type of Theory Qn( which are releated to these amendments).

1. should i write both provision before or after amendment...? or

2. should i write only amended answers ...?

3. And if in qn period and Rate of S.tax nd E. duty not mentioned then which rate to be apply.. old ya new...?

Hi,

Examination paper gives clear instructions about what you need to do. So, don't worry about that.

Regarding amendments, refer RTP of Nov 2012 exam. It gives you all required amendments relevant for exam. Generally amendments upto 6 months before exams are relevant.

If there is amendment after that, it is not relevant for this exam. However, if you are well aware of new amendments also, then, there is no harm in giving a note that - so and so provision has been amended from so and so date and mention what new amendment says.

Also make a note of the following:-

1) For DIRECT TAXES & INDIRECT TAXES:- Supplementary study paper is very important along with CASE laws. Always prepare well from that. Also, amendments relevant for exams will be mentioned here.
