Queries regarding ca

CA 1050 views 6 replies

I am a software engineer and hav worked in IT for 2.5 yrs. But got fedup of the job and quit.

Now am thinking of pursuing CA.

Please answer my following queries.

1) How many years will it take for me to become a CA, considering I clear all exams in 1 attempt?

2) Do i have to appear in CPT? coz ive heard that graduates in any discipline do not need to attempt CPT.

3) In relation to query 1, what should be the shortest path to become a CA? I mean what are the steps?
Please dont give any links for CA procedure. I would appreciate  if you could list steps in brief here itself.
as in like : Step 1 - Clear CPT, Step 2 give both groups in june etc etc.

Thanks in advance.

I got to know that from 2013 graduation is cumpulsory before CA.

Is this true.??

And if i want to do CA directly after 12th then which country should i approach to..??

You can do CA after 12th, register yourself with ICAI, in CPT program.

From my view, I m not demotivating you, but you should stick to one thing. Any information you want about ca, you can get either on icai.org or at near branch.

If you give your CPT exam in nov 12, you wll be able to give ur ipcc exam in nov 13. Ipcc exam consists of 1 group of 4 subjects and the 2nd grup of 3 subjects. if you clear grup 1 or both grups in nov13, then u wl be able to give ur ca final exam in nov 16 which consists of 2 grups of 4 papers each.

Now a commerce graduate who has scored above 50% marks can skip cpt and join ipcc directly. i m not sure of a science graduate.

you can join coachings in ur city or delhi. the coachings are also available hrough the medium of teleconferencing in various cities.

so u mean if i clear ipcc both groups in noc 2013 then at the earliest i can become a ca by 2016?

yes,if u clear all the exams in a single attempt and also complete ur articleship within the prescribed time, u will be a CA by nov 16(result of this attempt comes in jan 17)
