dear sir/madam,

when is it mandatory to register Professional tax in Karnataka ? we have registered company but not paying salaries to anybody as we don't have employees. please advise.

for shops and establishment - when is it mandatory to register? does it apply mandatory if we have no employees in company ? please advise.

To carryout the business in Karnataka one must need PT employer registration..However PT employee registration is not required since no employees.

To establish a place of business or to carryout the business through a shop/building , you must need shops and establishment registration

Ok thank you for your reply. So, both are mandatory whether employees are there are not right ?

also, if we take registration online.. do we get certificate or do we have to followup going to their office ?

Yes.Its mandatory

It's online process.Once you fill the form 2 online & make enrollment fee payment online ,you would get the EC in Form 4 online..

Shops & E also you would get online.
In few cases there will verification by case worker

Thank u.. we applied online for enrolment and have acknowledgement no. and payment done..we haven't received login details and not able to download enrollment certificate.. what is our next course of action ?
