I am an NRI and I downloaded ITR-3 XML software from IT E-Filing website.
In Part-A General form, there is a question "In case of non-resident, is there a Permanent Establishment (PE) in India?"
This question is on a "protected cell" and i am unable to enter "No" to this question.
I think the cell should get "un-protected" when i enter my residential status as non-resident but this does not happen.
How do I solve this problem?
Fill all the field in 'General Information' & try to validate the sheet (in Excel); or save the draft...... If stll problem persist, close the file & reopen it.
Before that check that your system is complied to all the requirements as mentioned on e-filling site.
