Proprietorship registration

Hi, 

I want to open a bank account in my proprietorship's name but the bank is asking for a registration certificate or shops and establishment license.

I would like to obtain a registration certificate but am not sure where to get it in Mumbai. I called the Mumbai Registrar of Companies and they said they only do LLPs and Pvt. Ltd. They said there is another office for proprietorship in Fort, Mumbai and I should google it, but I was unable to find one.

I will be grateful if someone could help me locate the office, or suggest how I should speak with the bank with regard to opening the account without a registration certificate or shops and establishment licence.
