Proposed adjustement u/s 143(1a)

ITR 346 views 5 replies

Filed ITR 1 on 3.7.2017 and e-verified it. Up till now the status shows Successfully E-verified. For a fact I know that I can expect intimation u/s proposed adjustment due to less reporting in form 16 of deductions.I have claimed refund of 4000.As I can see the hassle IT department has made, I don't want any refund now.Since I have come to know that even if you have claimed excess deductions but you don't want any refund the ITR will be processed without any notice or adjustmnets. Can I file revise return right now & EVC it before the notice hits.?Will it be within laws?

No... Its not Lawfull.. It may be Possible according to department there will be Tax Payable or Some other issue ... Hence Just by Giving Up Refund... A person can't escape

You havn't understood my query unforutunately.

Yes you can revise the return if you don't want the refund.
yes you can revise the return

Since the original return was filed within due date you can file revised return.

If you have not matched Form 16 in income( taken in ITR on lower side) and deuctions ( taken in ITR on higher side) then there will be notice u/s 143(1)(a).

If you have taken on safer sides there will not be any notice.
