Profit/ Loss from Online Gaming

TDS 598 views 5 replies

During the first half of the year, I had made a decent profit by playing online poker and as it was more than Rs. 10,000 there was TDS deducted on the same. But during the remainder of the year I made a net loss overall and hence not eligible to pay any tax.

In my 26AS, the TDS is reflecting and the game is showing as my profit amount due to the initial profit. This what the Income Tax System will also see.

I do not see any option to fill a loss in IFOS and hence showing as 0 income and claiming refund.

Will this refund be granted? Can the IT authority verify from the Poker company that deducted the tax? Or will it go under assessment?

I am very confused.

You will not get the refund if you file your return like this. I can help you with this issue. check your inbox
You will get tds deducted at source.
file returns

hey bro my case is also similar please tell the solution to take refund and show losses last date 15th march plz reply asap.

Dont think its possible

I lost 15k by playing these online games. When they return money no tds is deducted. I don't want to play because I don't gamble for religious purposes. I have to change a lot and improve my skills to survive in a niche industry. This is correct place to become a gentlemen by helping others as a commitment. So it's all a setup to steal money. So don't believe in online games
