proffession tax
I am 64 year old. I am visiting faculty in a collage of architecture in pune, maharashtra . My yearly income is not more than 25000/p. M. My question is. Am i liable to pay proffession tax ?

Yes.
-Senior citizens above the age of 65
-handicapped persons with more than 40 % disability
-parent of a physically disabled and mentally retarded children
are exempted from paying professional tax in Maharashtra.
