Is there any deduction or exemption on paying Professional tax for a person who is a Doctor by profession, assisting his father in his clinic and has been certified as 50% handicap.He has the certficate.Please guide.

Why don't you ask the Commercial Tax department or just file RTI application for circular...as far as i knw in AP they provide exemptions...do let me knw which state u reside
and ya professional tax is allowed as deduction under section 16(2) under head salaries
