there is 5 members are getting salary more than15000/- ( including directors) in my company. is it necessary to register under PT. Total no of employees in company is 15 members. ( recently registered under ESIC)
pls give me suggestion.

Every employer in specific states is required to deduct taxes from salary when paid to one or more employees when payment made exceeds Rs 5000(this limit is for Maharashtra)
and deposit with state government. That entity is required to obtain registration certificate

Professional tax or tax on employment is mandatory one and it is levied and collected by state government.so it is differ from state to state. Rs.12500per month is the limit for Tamil Nadu. An employer paying salary in excess of this limit he should deduct the applicable amount while paying salary.

Director remuneration is also comes under professional tax.
