Professional tax

I am working in a software company registered in Karnataka, however there are employees who are working from other states where we do not have any official premises. Do we need to register for P.Tax in such states? If yes, isn't an office address compulsory for registration? Is there any way by which we can pay the P.Tax of such employees in karnataka itself without having to register in other states. Thanks in advance!
