i did not get u. no you cant deposit like that. you need to deposit in ASSAM only. ( as per my assumption)

what i mean to say is that :

A Company whose Head Office is in Kolkata and Branch in Guwahati...so what the HO is doing is they are depositing  P.tax of all their employees(including the employees of assam) in West Beengal

so i want to enquire whether the P Tax of Assam employees be deposited in WB??

professional tax is charged by states not by central. also different states have different slab rates for professional tax.

so if your establishment is in assam, then assam professional tax rates applicable. pay accordingly

i dont think it is possible to deposit in westbengal. professional tax is based on place of employement.

even bracehes has to get reigstered under shops n establishment act ryt!!! so u need to deposit in assam only.
