Procedure to get tin - chennai
Is rental agreement for commercial purpose required to obtain TIN NUMBER for a small cake shop... Business mostly via online. Or can I get the TIN using residential rental agreement

Irrespective of the size of business, if you wish to get a tin, you must have a rental/lease agreement of the business premises and a ownership proof like recent property tax receipt or electricity bill in the name of the premises owner. He should also give a statement on the authenticity during verification of the business premises by the authority.
