Dear Sir/Madam,

Please tell me the procedure for late filing TDS return step by step. Is it compulsory to deposit late filing fee before filing of TDS return? If yes, then tell me the procedure of deposit late filing fee also. The above return is of Q2 and Q3 . I already filed Q4 return.

You can file the belated return normally, and w.r.t. the late fees u/s 234E can be deposited after filing the return as well.

Sir but when i file it normally the following error comes out: " the date of tax deducted does not pertain to the quarter for which tds statement is prepared

In my case: Date of payment : 8/7/2017 Date of tax deduction : 5/3/2018 Date of tax deposit : 5/3/2018

Your date of payment has to be changed, since it is falling in July i.e. Q2,

You can file another revised return for Q2.

But before choosing any of the course of action, just analyse the funds outflow for penalty and interest as well.

Sir it is not possible to change date of payment because payment is through bank and How can i file original Return because i did not file original return for Q2
