procedure for getting user id and passward

Madam,

If you are already having  TIN no: you may write  to or contact your  assessing vat officer to issue

the User Id and password quoting your  TIN No:

If you've recd. the TIN & you've not done online e-registration then

1) Log on to www.mahavat.gov.in

2) Click on New user enroll here & then choose Dealer Enrollment if you are a dealer.

3) Enter your TIN & submit & now you've to fill the details of your co.

4) Give password & click on submit.

Thus your user ID for e-services  will be created & then print the acknowledgement  & submit it with Sales Tax dept. in duplicate.

By using your Login ID i.e. your TIN ( without V or C ) & putting password you can file your e-return.

i get the answer that is under the up vat who have registered dealer and have tin no.. they by default have user id and password this is "TIN NO.". so after entering tin no. in user id and tin no. in password they can file return. and after login first they can change their password also.

But by this way any one can misuse the TIN of any dealer of UP who have not yet changed their default password.  The procedure is different in every state.  But I think the password will be provided by the Sales tax dept. and cannot be generated from outside atleast for first login.  Like in Punjab, an application is given on company letter head and then password is provided. Pls. check with the local S. Tax dept. in ur state.
