Procedure for change of address in vat registration

Dear Mr Karthikeyan,

First of all you have to inform the change of address to the Chennai assessment circle and Fresh application is (registration procedure) to be submitted to Kanchipuram circle.  Same RC number can be continued  . But fresh RC certificate is to be obtained from the new registration circle, after verification of the new address.  Old pending assessments can be done at Chennai circle.   c form f form, h forms can be filled for the older period and balance can be surrendered and get an acknowledgement.  Fresh forms can be obtained from the new circle. After completing the old assessments with arrears of tax payments, if any, the officer at chennai will send all your files to kanchipuram circle.  Hope it is clear.
