Problem in generating xml file

I have filled the relevant ITR 2. On validating, every sheet is OK and 'calculate tax' is also OK. However when I click the button "Generate XML" and "save XML" it says Run time error '-2146232576 (87131700)': Automation error I am not able to save the XML file. I have done macro enable before filling up the form. I have tried my best, but not able to do. Pls can anyone help. Regards, Debashis 9004061367

Save your Xl sheet. . Try restarting the PC/laptop.

Tell me if it works. What is the version of Office and windows.

See whether XML file is generated. This is a VBA error with error No. 2146232576 in decimals that is  Hex 87131700.  Have you saved as in .xlsx by any chance . This file extension is for XL  sheet without macros.  Goto Developer-->Visual Basic-->Tools. Is the references greyed.  You said you have enabled the macros that is VBA tool is on.  Take this xl sheet and load in ur friend's computer generate X M L and copy to your lap top and then upload.

Which version of Excel are you using. ?  Open ur excel . Dont load   Itr2.

File >option >add ins.  see whether  vba analysis tool pack is added.

Most probably you require Wndows 7 windows  and higher.

These ITR Forms are developed using the latest in JAVA technology and effort has been made to make it user friendly, simpler and faster preparation of tax returns. This utility can be run on operating systems like Windows 7.0 or above and latest Linux, where Java Runtime Environment Version 7 Update 13 (jre 1.7 is also known as jre version 7) or above is installed.

follow the guide lines given by the incometax website FAQ.

Many times  the problem is installing th ecorrect recommended settings and REMOVING the old ones form the programmes.

Updating the systems software will solve most of the problems.
