Problem facing in dealer return online submission

1749 views 9 replies

We are importer of non ferrous metal scrap from around the world and trading in domestic market. Our excise status is Dealer.

Now, it is mendetory to upload return online. We downloaded the Dealer Return Utility from CBEC website and feeded the necessary data in the file. When we vaidate the file we get the error as follows:

"“Assessee can not enter his/her own Registration Number in DOCUMENTS BASED ON WHICH THE CREDIT IS PASSED.”

I would like to have guidance from the CCI members how to overcome this message.

With best regards,

Tushar Parmar.

in import purchase detail dont write Registration No. please see you have writen your ECC No.  delet.it. and validate return.

It is mendatory to mention the registration number in the return. If we do not write the registration number, Unless we provide the registration number, the file does not get validated.

Mr. Tusher, you can write any valid registration number except your own registration number to valid the sheet,Then remarks that ''due to not accepting our own registration we mention AAAAA1234AED001 instead of 'mention your own egistration no',Then clarify the same your range officer if required. Hope you will be successfully upload your file.

In this case, the retuen can  be submitted manually.

Mr. Sanjiv,

When return online submit mandatory, then what to do?

It is true that submitting the return online is mandatory, but system does not accept it, then what can be done, maybe ACES dealer return should also have a column for Bill of Entry.....

get in touch with your R/O they will provide you authorization code to be put in place of regn no for your own imported goods,

Earlier, dealers who imported goods or purchased goods from other importers had difficulty in filing dealer returns in ACES, as the ACES application did not allow such dealers to mention their own Central Excise registration number, or the IEC Code of the importer in the column prescribed for mentioning the CE Registration number in the block "Documents based on which credit is passed on" in the dealer return . The application has now been modified, so that 1st or 2nd stage dealers who have either imported goods on their own or have purchased goods from other Importers can mention their own IEC code or the IEC Code of the importers in the prescribed column. The ACES application will verify if the IEC code is a valid one available in the database or not and in case of invalid IEC codes, the returns will be rejected. In case of rejection, the dealers can incorporate the correct IEC codes and e-file the return.
