Principal's consent for transfer

CA 494 views 2 replies

If i wish to transfer to another firm and i were in my first year of articleship... then is my present employer's consent needed to execute the transfer? If yes, can he refuse his consent? And if he does, what are my options to transfer anyway?

All  the help given will be appreciated..... Thanks in advance.

Whether you take transfer in the 1st or in the last year,

The consent of the Principal is mandatory for transfer...

Without the consent of the Principal ICAI will not allow any transfer.....

Thank you. By the way, I just feel this gives an unjustifiable amount of power to the principal over my career.
