Principal place of business & additional place of business

Registration 1052 views 12 replies

I have registered my residence as Principal place of business where i keeps office records and account books and an additional place of business where i keep the goods for sale purchase.

While generating e-way bills by suppliers, they don't see option to deliver the goods to additional place of business. The additional place is not auto-populated.

Please guide me what to do in this regard.

Thanks

They can manually type the additional place of business address in e waybill
You can ask suppliers for shipping address will be Additional Place.
Principal place of business is what I should consider.
Principal place of business is must for registration. But, Business transaction based on buyers need which required to place of supply.

Thanks for all the replies !

How about change of additional place to Principal and vice versa in GST registration ? The additional place is actually our owned factory.

These are two different aspects. One is principle place of business and another is additional place of business.
@ Mr ANIL,

First of You can proceed change of address from Your current principal place to Your own place.

After that You can register your current place as Additional Place.

Thanks Mr Raja.

What reason should i give for change of address from our current principal place to our own factory ? As per GST rules, one should declare any changes in address etc within 15 days of occurance. The additional place was added to GST registration in May 2022.

No issues. That provision applicable at the time of registration.

if you want Your own place as principal place then You can as per above.

In case any difficult then Cancel the Additional place first and after that give change of address for principal place.

Thank you for your valued suggestion !
