Quick Summary
This discussion explores tax deductions for home loan payments made by a child on a property owned by their parent. Specifically, it questions whether the child can claim deductions under Section 80C for principal repayment and Section 80EE for interest, or if only the parent, as the property owner, is eligible. The consensus leans towards the owner being the only one able to claim these benefits, subject to specific conditions.
