A person has opted for presumptive Taxation u/s 44ADA for the past 2 years. However, for the current F.Y. there's no income. Does the person require to file ITR? If the person is not filing ITR for AY 2022-23, is it that the scheme won't be available to him for the next 5 years ?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether an individual who has used presumptive taxation under Section 44ADA for two years, but has no income in the current financial year, still needs to file an Income Tax Return (ITR). It clarifies that the 5-year restriction on opting out of the scheme, often associated with Section 44AD, does not apply to Section 44ADA. Therefore, having no income does not prevent future use of Section 44ADA.
