Preparation for may 2015 attempt

Hi Freinds!

I planned to attempt Group-I of CA final in May 2015. I also started preparing for the same through self- study. Sometimes, I am so scared don't know whay, may be because I have covered only few topics or may be I am not able to stretch long study hours everyday evenly/my study hours flacuate a lot, not able to cover topics as planned. If I plan for 2 standards to cover in a day and I am ending up covering only 1 standard. And due to this I get so disappointed.

And also I feel that I am left with too many chapters to cover. And I may not be able to spend around 15 days in Jan due to my brother-in-law wedding.

Financial Reporting - First round covered all the accounting standards except AS-14, AS-21, AS-23, AS-24, AS-                               25, AS-27 and AS-33

Auditing and Professional Ethics - Covered only SA 200, SA 210 and SA 220 and still doing First schedule of professional ethics from Institute material.

Corporate Law-   First round of SEBI Act and SCRA Act 1956

SFM - Just covered the basic of Forign Exchange Risk Management

Freinds I am not understanding where I am standing and how should I go with my plan to cover all the topics along with the minimum two revisions for May 2015 Exams.

I know in this forum there are many doing self-study, many married people preparing for exams and also many married people with self studies already succeded even after so many hurdels in their studies.

Could you all please share your valuable suggestions which can help me to plan properly and succed in exams..

Your inputs matters a lot to me at this point of time.

Thanks

Anusha

First make a feasible plan.. Going with all 4 subject will nt work at this time.. Take 2 subjects at a time and fix the time till which u have to complete them. And when that time is over start with the other two irrespective of the fact that how much is still left with the first two. This will create pressure n u will be bind to complete the other two within time.. so as to give time to first two. One more thing do target study this time I.e. daily target, weekly target n monthly target n try to achieve them. Once u will started achieving ur target u will feel good n motivated.

Ma'am u have plenty of time to cover grp1 even after jan
FEB MAR APRIL are sufficient for grp 1
as u said that many are doing self study..... I am 1 of them and i am doing self study for all 8 subjects
my attmpt is may15.... opting for both grp
and not even started yet...
u are in a good position... u have covered all the imp AS.. Most imp topic of SFM and imp topics of allied laws also..
But u should start with SA 500 series in Audit as it covers more in Audit
SEBI SCRA AND FEMA will cover 20 25 marks in Law

dnt worry.. it would be done
enjoy marriage without any tnshn......

Bt after Jan u will have to surely give 12 hours a day... and if u are ending up with 1 as only.. its not a point for disappointment
This is not IPCC that we can cover 9 AS in one day
it takes time..... study all 4 subjects each day
3 hours for each sbjects........

Best of luck

I am planning for the 2nd group.

Kindly suggest any thing better suggestion to prepare in 3 months

I am also doing self study for group 1 and will attempt in May 2015. My plan- Till January 15- Complete Audit, Sfm Till February 28- Complete accounts and law. I do 2 Sa per day with ethics 10 pages. I take a nap of an hour I study sfm after that. Mam u know I cleared ipcc which was amidst of my brother s wedding and bcom exams. Try to engage yourself as less as possible. Stay focused. Wish you success.
Oh god! My preparation was happened so funny .after my results I made a plan to write only g1 .that is 100 days and 4 subjects .but what actually happened was my sisters marriage which took away 40 days.my b.com second year exams which took away 20 days .so finally I have just 10 days per subject .but now I was confident with my preparation .
