Quick Summary
From the next assessment year, Capital Gains are expected to be prefilled in your Income Tax Return (ITR). However, this information won't appear in Form 26AS but rather in a pre-filled XML file compatible with the ITR utility. If you encounter differences between the prefilled data and your actual Short-Term Capital Gains (STCG) and Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG), such as issues with Upstox reporting all sales as STCG, guidance on reporting these discrepancies to SEBI is sought.

Not in 26AS. it's pre-filled XML file which is to be converted into ITR utility.
What if the report differs from the actual Stcg and Ltcg as I M facing with Upstox. Their response is that as the scriptts were not bought after joining the Upstox all the scriptts sold are reported as STCG. How to report this to SEBI. Pl guide
