sir, I received a SMS from CPC Bangalore to prevalidate bank account to process refund.my return is already verified by aadhar.as I understand that prevalidate was required for verification purpose.is it required for refund also.

In case of joint accounts, when same account is declared by two or more joint holders in their individual ITRs, (or by any third person by mistake) the new verification process has been initiated by CPC, before credit of refund to such suspicious accounts.
