Decide based one's fanancial background...If one is in need of money, then better to work in a company first.

Hi Guyes..
For practice u will struggle little bit in the beginning because to reach break even it will take sum time... Afterwards u r king..
As per my opinion Practice is Best option..
I am also going for Job for 2-3 years (for own capital) afterwards come to practice. But u have to choose job very carefully, i.e. it must be related to practice.. Just like working in CA firm in Audit & taxation etc.
Best of Luck

i feel after becmoing CA one should try to enter in already established CA firm on partnership basis this will raise the strength of the firm and u will get more options to explore.... Partnership as we all know need capital investment which counld be tackled by 2 ways....
1 u can take a loan which is easily available to CA or
2 or one should enter in partnership not on profit sharing basis but may be on some fixed income basis initially.....
this is what i feel.....
choose options carefully.

I agree with amith. To go for practice, you need strong expert skills for which employment under Big four for atleast 3 yrs is required. I am not intereested in employment because, in employment also just like articleship, you will have to work under someone who doesnt even haev the knowledge u have, u do alll work and ur superiors take all credit, go thro office politics etc. I am sick of that during articleship. So i have decided to be my own boss - to get into practice.

guys : We are going to be a Chartered Accountants..... There is only two option to do in our whole professional life till end. So, try taste both as per your convenient. It is very much practical understanding when you are working in company and reaching as CFO level which paramount in financial. This will expand your whole view of financial parameter in such extend. Try to work hard and hunting to know how domestic and multi national corporation works in financial decisions instead of switching off this option. It's my own thought with support for both side......

Everyone Ideally wants to work for 2 or 3 years and then get into practice. But I know a lot of my seniors who had the same idea but after a few years of earning good packages nobody feels like leaving their job and entering into a new struggle, they get too used to the money.
If u want to practice and dont have any financial hurdles, u should start immediately after ur articleship. But then thats my personal opinion.(thats what i am planning to do)
