DFL => EBIT/EBT

EBIT = SALE- VAR. COST- FIXED COST

EBT =EBIT- INTR.

EBIT/EBT LESS PREF DIVIDEND/1-TAX RATE

Study material does not provide to take the tax into consideration... u apply the formula which u have learnt.. dont bother abt what is done there... there r many method to solve a question by applying different formula... n not considering tax one of the method to solve a answer...
