Practical Bank Audit by CMA

As per many source available only, CMA are eligible for all bank audits. I want to know that are there really CMAs who are doing bank Audits. As per many advertising for bank auditors they clearly conditioned that applicant should be member of ICAI.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) are genuinely undertaking bank audits, despite many bank advertisements specifying Chartered Accountants (CAs) as a requirement. While there are no explicit legal restrictions barring CMAs from general bank audits, the practical reality is that over 99% of banks specify CA membership in their eligibility criteria. The conversation also touches upon the lack of any legal action or Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against such policies and questions why CMAs tolerate these conditions.

That depends upon the conditions put by the BANKS. There is no any restrictive clause in GENERAL audit, barring cost accountants or for that matter any person other than a chartered accountant from conducting concurrent audit. It will depend upon the policy of the BANK.

But Generally I Mean More Than 99%,In Their Eligibility Criteria They Ask For CA Only.

have any PIL aur action against such policy without any legal backing initiated by ICWAI or any other person. If not, why are these people tolerating such policies
