I have a Post office savings Bank account, it does not IFSC. Do I need to add this account for validation in the Income tax portal?
Kindly Advice.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a Post Office Savings Bank account, which lacks an IFSC code, needs to be validated on the Income Tax portal. While some users suggest it's not required due to the absence of an IFSC, others point out that validation typically mandates one. The consensus leans towards not needing to validate the account itself, but ensuring the interest earned is declared for tax purposes.
Thanks, I have included interest in my Gross Income for taxation purpose. Since IFSC is not available, I thought of not validating the account as it will not get validated.
@ Prasanth , I did not get you, you have mentioned for P O Account IFSC is not required. You cannot validate any account without IFSC, it's mandatory. can you kindly let me know if there is any way to validate POSB account. Thanks
