1/7 the of the total traning period..

Then if the articles period is for 3 years (365*3=1095 days), then the eligible leave is 156 days (1095/7).. Am i right...

 yes..

 continuing......

Then what about the leaves actually u taken?

it shold be caluclate on the  period actualluy u served as article.

refer Training guide in icai.org

it is 1/6th of the period actually served. that means if u have taken 100 days leave then 1095-100=995/6days i.e.166 days are aoowed

I have taken 200 days so far.. then the eligibility as ashish said will be 1095-200=885/6days i.e.147 days are allowed.. is that right?

no use at all with these calculations, friend dhananjaya.if and only if ur principal is a nice person u can take leav.take the case of one of my officemates who is a student.she has worked for 21 months in this office.outof that she took 6 months leave for pcc coaching.so the actual service is only 15 months which is only required for appearing for pcc.after the xams, she got married and terminated from the principal.that rascal gave her only 12 months service in form120.some students who also joined with her were also attending coaching classes with her.they are in their final year of articleship.but now he is saying that they should continue in training for 1 more year otherwise he will not sign their completion certificate.these kinds of rascals are always creating problems.why are they not being prosecuted.is the law and order of the country dumb abd deaf.ICAI is thinking that they are above the rules

The calculation shown by ashish is exactly perfect.  For PEII Students its 1/6th & for PCC back ground students its 1/7th.  So the calculation goes as follows.

No. of Days in a year = 365*3= 1095

Less: Leave Taken                       153 (Leave taken does not include Exam days & the days werein you attended any seminars)

                                                          942

1/6th of 975                                     157

Less: Actual leave taken              153

Excess Worked                                  4 Days
