Aptly said Turn Previous pages and learn .If your Company has excise Manual go thru it  or have interaction with your Excise Consultant and ask him to update  the amendments. You can also visit the website of central excise  and Learn a few aspects  in relation to your current working environment.Interact with Accounts head to get some inputs for the same

Dear Kishor,

I agree with the sugestion given by  Sivaram.

In addition, you can refer indirect taxes book by V S DATEY. (If you can devote your time on reading). It's explained in the simplest language, even a person reading first time and having zero knowledge of excise can understand.

records and books differ on client turnover, nature of turnover,

if u feel prob in accounting , the put the basic things 1st on query , viz company is engaged in manufacturing/trading/export/sez or anything else. availing input credit on inputs /capital goods or not.

each set of combination will go in specific direction,

Dear Mr. Kishore,

I appreciate your gesture that you have come forward and seek help of your friends (CCI members).\

If you can spare some time and read the provisions then i will advise to go thorugh Indirect Tax Book wriiten by Mr. V. S. Datey. It will bevery useful for enhancing your knoweldge about various excise, customs, service tax .

Further, if you can not spare time, then you can go thorugh the records (excise records i mean) maintained by your Company, as advised by Mr. Sivaram you can consult the consultant for day to day issues. It will be of some help to you.

Regards,

CCI Pro
