Please help for tds
Hello! Could anyone tell me how can tds on salary can be ingnored by tax avoiding as my friend’s salary is coming under taxable income. She has taken LIC for rs. 16000/- and showing HRA also. Even den approx 26000/- is being taxable. Kindly tell me other possible ways 2 avoid it which are easy 2 follow. Investment in large is not possible for her.

tanu, not possible in case of salary...............as we have to follow form -16
IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT FY 2008-09 THEN IT IS NOT POSSIBLE BUT IF TALKING OF CURRENT YEAR,THEN TELL HER TO DEPOSIT THE AMOUNT IN PPF A/C.AS IN ACSE OR SALARIED PEOPLE U CANT GO FOR TAX AVOIDANCE WITHOUT INVESTMENT.
OR IF YOU WANT TO GO THE OTHER WAY THEN FIRST DETERMINE WHETHER U COULD CHANGE YOUR SALARY STRUCTURE COMPONENTS (ASK YOUR HR).
