I am running a computer education center with my own name. i am exepmted from Service tax as my annual fee colection is less then 10 Lakhs. But for future, if i divide my student fee in following manner

1. Tution Fee

2. Computer lab maintenence charge

3. Building charge

4. Generetor charge -

Will i get exemption on last three point or service tax will be applicable only fro tution fee.

Pl. help me as i am not getting correct answer. My advocate & one exise officer have different view.

Dear sir,

I made a mistake in filling accounting code in GAR7 Service Tax Payment Challan. What is the procedure to rectify the same ?.

Just write a letter to the accounts officer of your commissionerate to correct the mistake. Keep a receipt with yourself. It is their duty to shift the money in correct account head.

Dear Sir,

I have paid a rent to xyz of last FY 2007-08 in current year i.e. 2008-09, can I claim a set off (cenvat credit) of service tax paid on rent against service tax payable in current financial year.

Pls help me.
