Hi, some of my seniors who have completed CA in 2017 and applied for jobs with BCG and other consulting firms say that those students who opt for Bcom via IGNOU are not preferred or called for interview.
Is there anyone who can confirm that some consulting firms definitely have a preference for those who have a degree from a University ?
this will help me make a balanced call on either continuing with my IGNOU BCom or switching to a university day course..

Consulting firms do not check on where u have done graduation. They only see ur CA performance and den the performance in interview.

Dinesh has rightly pointed out the issue. After you get CA degree who cares for the sh*t called BCom.
But i do agree some big MNC's raise concern on whether you have done Bcom regular or distance learning. I have Bcom degree from IGNOU only. Those companies dont understand in distance learning IGNOU is top in India. That's why icai has signed MOU with them.
Even i dont understand why these big MNC's see distance learning as "sh*t". If there is too much of doubt / confusion i suggest to go for regular. I did in ignou bcom because it is just one sitting and 6 papers which can be done with ease..
