Please Advice.....

Hi Friends,

I need an honest advice. I registered for CA in the erstwhile PE2 course in the year 2006 after completing my B.Com. I appeared both the groups in May 2007. I joined a BPO just days after the exams. And as expected I cleared the 1st group but failed in the 2nd. 

I took a lot of time to clear the 2nd group. It was only in May 2010 exam that I could clear the 2nd group. All these years (3.5 years to be precise) have been working in this BPO for various clients in Accounts and Finance. 

Now that I have cleared PE2, I am in a dilemma whether to go for articleship or give up CA and takeup a course like CWA or executive MBA where I would not be required to undergo articleship. I am 26 years old. If I continue in the same organisation for another 2 - 2 1/2 years I have a chance of being promoted as an Asst. Manager. 

Will it be wise to quit the job at this age and go for articleship. Please advice.

hey yaaar its all depends on your own position your thinking and your capabilities...

well as far as CWA or or MBA is concerned you cant compare these all with CA..

I WILL suggest you to go for CA bcoz of the prestigue attached with this GREAT degree.

Rest all depends on your  circumstances in which you are.... (got it na)

if there is no financial or social   problem and if you have  strong desire to become CA.. then you can go with the articleship and complete  CA .

Now pursuing CWA will be very  good for you as you may get exmeption of training ( 3 yrs of work experience is equivalent to cwa training ) and it can be completed in 1.5 yrs.

every man get  turning point in the life and catch the same. This opportunity depends on you present position i.e. financial & social.

If you capable both things u can go for CA.

I think u may go up for MBA or CWA where there is no need of articles, with u r age and position in the company kept in mind... 

Also enquire weather u can get ATC ( Accounting Technician ) certificate if possible...

This idea is strictly my point of view .. it has nothing to do with ur capacity and passion towards CA...

It is up to my frd but one thing i wanted to say that after becoming a CA ur life will be different.

so think on it, it is a life changing decision

my advice is to go for a CA and do the articleship
