Anybody pl. tell me the meaning of "Input Service Distributor" with example.

Take for example that Deepika Indusrties Ltd. is involved in maufacturing of Cosmetics. Now the said Co. has various offices and depots located in India. A Corp. Office in Mumbai, Warehouse in Nashik etc. All such places would have incurred Service Tax on Rent, AMC, Telephone Bills etc. Anyone of such business location can be registered as Input Service Distributor (ISD) and all the CENVAT credit will get collected over there and based on a statement called 'ISD Invoice', such CENVAT credit will be transferred to all other remaining places or units..
