Can I switch to 44ad this year from 44 Ada as last year i filed 44ada. my architect client has dealt in sale n puchase of goods along with services.

Don't switch, you can avail both 44AD for business and 44ADA professionals seperately

Won't the business expenses overlap in 44 Ada and 44ad as trading of goods and professional service both are given by same proprietorship firm
