Pensioners standard deduction u/s 16
As per form 16 of Retired Government Pensioner there is a standard deduction from salary of Rs 3,00,000, since as per section 16 it is 40,000 (for AY 19-20) please do confirm whether such deduction availed is correct or not.

For senior citizens 3 lakhs is basic exemption limit . in addition you get 40000 maximum as standard deduction .
