Is retired person receiving pension entitled to receive form 16 from the employer containing details regarding pension amount for filing ITR or entries in Bank statements is the only way?

if TDS is there then check 26AS. Bank statement is ok
Every Employers duty is to provide F_16 whether they retired or not we ppl jus looking at bank stmt and finalizing the same.
If TDS is deducted by pension paying authority, then they are liable to give Form No.16 Part A as well as Part B to pensioners.
you can very well ask the pension paying authority to issue Form No.16 Part A as well as Part B.
If no TDS then the employer is required to issue form 16.
Thank you all for the reply, here assesse is retired during the year so my question is whether total figure shown in form 16 for salary includes the amount of monthly pension which he received during the part of the year? Please guide..
If the salary payment authority and pension payment authority are same mostly same authority would have included both payments and shown in Form No.16. If they are different then there would be two form 16 to be received from both of them.
