vaibhav can u please tell me why u have taken 4 constatnt years for IPcc and PCc... and bit confused with above shown comparison

Up to 4 attemps their final attemp is fixed...after that extention of 6 months will be applicable..like that..

Wat can ve do vaibhav,i had sent a mai to Board of studies & President regarding the same.i got the response saying we should follow the current rules & regulations,If there are any changes they shall intimate via website.Tats the max we can do i e sending mails. After all they got to decide at council meeting.

Good Presentation Vaibhav..Keep it up.

dear CA Student,

thats y we are going for media...take full participation in it

Hi Nithin,

Wats the procedure ? Who is takin the intiative..Its easy to say  but how can we guys proceed?

dear ca student

just scroll down the topic and there is a topic regarding PE2 student share your view... there is full fledge story and plan... if possible please contribute with new thoughts

Every time there is a change in the syllabus or course of CA the old students cry.

When PCC was introduced all PE II students did the same

similarly when IPCC was introduced all PCC students did the same thing.

I am not blaming anybody and take my post sportively. With time the CA course goes on becoming tough, tough and tougher. No way they are going to relax. Every change has a good & a bad thing, talking only about the negatives will never help.

Dear Vaibhav,

I think your table is misleading regarding IPCC.

For the students who converted to IPCC they have to clear group 1 before articles is started. There is high probability of having a year out..

Luckily that is not happening for PCC students who are finishing their articles at least.

PCC is the best as far as time of course completion is concerned - (for those who can)... but bad things have happened to us also....

My suggestion, dear PE2 friends, pls convert to IPCC..

Depositing Rs.1500 semi annually for 4 years = 12,000 (Minus peace of mind)

(No certainty of this figure - see the passing ratio <5% as trend).

It could have been saved by

Paying Rs.8500 and Rs.3000 at most to move on to articleship = 11500 + Peace of mind.

Pls move on to IPCC if u r serious about CA.
Almost certainly there is no love lost between students and ICAI.

but praveen how good is that when u increase attempt... but u drastically decrease the passing percentage to below 1%??? Is it good for any1???

See when the course is running there will be new entrants every exam hence you get a good result every time.

When the course stops as is the case in PE II the people writing the exams would be the same people who have written the exams earlier and failed to clear it. It takes lot of guts to come back and pass every time you fail. By the time they fail twice or thrice people start to take other routes and stop concentrating on PE II. This would effect the results even more.

Hope i am clear on this.

I do somewhat agree that PCC is the best thing ICAI has come up with, but still there are few thing that might worry you if you are a PCC student.

firstly you cannot get into a normal bcom course and attend college regularly unless you are blessed to have a dummy articleship

Secondly you will be put into the articleship from which like 12 to 13 hours in a day goes waste, thinking about work, doing work, mood off, wearing down etc.

For a CA student most important thing would be to pass  the exams not doing away with articleship.

If you dont clear PCC neither will you be having a proper degree, what will one do after articles.

Thats the reason they brought out IPCC.

Dont worry all of you are under watchful eyes of ICAI. They have to take decisions and they will take no matter what it cost.

Thats true praveen bhai... every scheme has its plus and minus... the outstanding feature of PCC is that at least time is saved, and Final is not delayed.

I also did BCom by correspondence cos of articleship clash.....

The other thing being that the good firms want people who are already graduates, not CPT students...

Now transfer is also banned.... I am just thinking of finishing articleship quickly....

"RESOLVED THAT i will go and work where i want to after doing my articleship and the ICAI can sit and watch me do it"

I have a legitimate doubt whether the results are actually manipulated by ICAI...

I have seen a person write PE-2 8 times and score 3rd rank in his last do or die attempt.

I am seeing so many people in clients offices write the intermediate exams taking half a day off from work etc...

With due respect to their circumstances,

I think the preparation is simply insufficient from large number of candidates of PE2.
