PE II exams/IPCC exams without linking to Orientation/ITT

I request ICAI to allow old intermediate students to convert to IPCC and permit to attend Nov 10 exams without any conditions on attending compulsory ITT and Orientation programme.

As so many old intermediate stundents, who have not qualified till now, persuing CA as their career, might be working people and will not be able to attend ITT and orientation classes on Loss of Pay from Job duties. In this context, i will appreciate, if any seniors/peers/scholors escalate this issue to ICAI for obtaining exemption to old intermediate/PE II students from attending and completing Compulsory ITT/Orientation before allowing to IPCC Examinations.

Any help in this regard?

ITT was not a pre-requisite to appear for Inter exams until IPCC (under PE2, IT was allowed after attempt). Under current scheme you MUST appear ITT to attempt IPCC until council makes any changes for PE2
Orientation is COMPULSORY for IPCC attempt even every PE2 MUST complete before apperaing IPCC until council comes with any changes

Hi Vishwanath,

I also feel the same thing at least institute should give exemption to old students from IT training & Orientaion programme otherwise it will be almost impossible to continue CA course for many students since most of the students are working and it is difficult to get leave.

I have already appered for may 2010 but for IPCC we have to register before July 2010 result is coming after that ,result may be plus or minus .

Please suggest whether I should convert myself to IPCC or to leave hope, because I wont get any leave or time concession for attending trainning . I am intermiadiate student who convert to PE-II

Just wait till results declares let see if they increase any attempts for PEII, also please send mail to Institute requesting them to allow PEII students to appear without attending orientation programme and IT training

Dear Friends,

Thanks for your support.

I request you all to join with me to represent this issue to ICAI president to exclude those students who are registered to erstwhile intermediate and presently employed and who will not be able to attend orientation and ITT classed continuously for one month in the day or evening classes (as some may be working in night shifts and some may be working in day shifts).

Instead, the following options to consider

Institute will allow or conduct ITT classes on Saturday evening and Sunday day classes for the students like us

or to exclude us from this compulsory

or to give permission to appear exams for IPCC without linking to these compulsory classes

or to allows us to continue us with PE II attempts till we clear the exams. :)-
