first manually what is entry

second if we record in tally what is procedure

Manual:

normal receipt and payment entries to be passed but in narration  you need to give reference invoice number against which invoice have you received and paid.

Tally:

while passing receipt entry software will ask you to put reference invoice number against which invoice amount received. where as payment entry software will ask you to put reference invoice number against which invoice amount paid.

if you are passing entries like this tally  will provide the outstanding accounts receivable and payable report as per party wise including billwise.
