Pcc to ipcc

I am CA-PCC student and cleared my 1st group of PCC in May 2012 attempt. Appeared 2nd Group of PCC in Nov 2012 attempt but did'nt cleared. I have read conversion rules for PCC to IPCC. My query is as per IPCC students need to clear 1st group and then start articleship but in PCC 2nd group, 2 subjects are of 1st group of IPCC so will I have to clear that 1st and stop our articleship till that time??? I mean will we have to suffer in articleship loss for time being????

You will have to appear for Unit 8 to pass both groups under IPC. 

The passing criteria will remain same, 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate for the unit. .

UNIT – 8

Group I Paper 3 : Cost Accounting and Financial Management

Group I Paper 4 : Taxation

Group II Paper 7 : Information Technology and Strategic Management

There will be no loss of articleship period. You can continue to serve your balance period of articleship.

And ICAI says that students have to clear unit wise. Students have to score exemption subject wise does they mean that 60 or abv 60 mks????

It means a student who has already passed a group in PCC will claim exemption for those subjects in IPC subject wise and not group wise because the composition of subjects is different in IPC as compared to PCC.

For eg: Advanced Accounting of PCC is divided into two groups in IPC and Audit is in second group. As you have already passed group 1 in PCC, these papers are exempted for you in IPC subject wise as group 1 subjects of PCC is divided into two groups in IPC.

My 2nd query is I have filled for re-verification and filling for conversion so if suppose i pass in re-verification, will i be eligible back to PCC [if my conversion form gets accepted too]???

PCC is discontinued and no more exams will be conducted under this scheme. After conversion and re-verification, if you pass in group 2 of PCC, then you will register for Finals. Suppose if you do not pass in re-verification, then you will have to continue further in IPC. No option of getting back in PCC. 

How much time it takes for conversion????? if i send form now will it get approved till next month....???

Yes, you have sufficient time for the conversion process. But don't delay further, convert at the earliest.

I tried calling institute for all queries but they dnt knw properly.....what to do?????
