Password problem

Most of the accountants are indulging in malpractice that they have kept the access of client's income tax website with themselves only. They do not disclose the password to client even. There are 3 options to crack the password which all i know including digital signature which cause additional cost to client. Now my question is there any other option to get access of income tax website of client which does not cause any cost to client.

The solution provided by income tax are the only way. Other than this a mail can be forwarded to income tax department to reset the password mention all of your details in mail. Regards. ( most easy way is to have you acknowledgment no and bank details as there will be no addition cost in this.)
Dear manoj sir. I do agree with wt u said. But after some hackings in the recent past CBDT started sending password only to the registered email id which was provided by the accountant only at the time of registration. Also they do not file online .so there is no question of efiling acknowledgement no. NOW see how these accountants are imposing hardship on clients.
We had such a case and out of 3 options , 2 of them remain unanswered so we applied for digital signature and reset the password. Digital signature costs max 1500 but non filing of I.t.return costs u Rs. 5000.
Dear raj sir I had also a case and i did the same by dsc. Now 2 more cases on the same issue. Last year in hundreds of cases we sent mail with details and got password on the same id from which we provided information. Now its gonna be tough this year. Well thanks for reply.

we also faced same problem, But we had file the same through e return intermediary and they dont require any such passwords, with these you can have your last acknowledgment number and then you can change the password as well as contact details.

Dear fellow member I have a doubt in as ur suggestion in forget dit member login password.. as u say it can be reset through digital signature.. my doubt... whether an assessee has not file any itr or file itr but not through digital signature whether he can reset the password by issuing digital signature and used in forget password option..
Yes a digital signature issued on the name of assessee will help u to access the online account of assessee on itd website.after that u can set the password. It does not matter whether the return was filed with or without dsc.

Dear Friend,

We also facing the same problem but as per the new information regarding this, you can apply for the new password in following manner:-

Please provide the attested scanned image of the following documents to verify the credentials:-
1. Copy of the PAN card assessee.
2. One more Government issued identity card in the name of assessee.(voter id card/Driving licence/Aadhaar card/ Passport / )
3. One address proof of the assessee.
All the above mentioned copy of the documents should be attested by a Gazetted officer or a Notary public and scan all these documents and
send the same to validate @ incometaxindia.gov.in with the request for change of password. The reset password will be sent to the requested mail id
after verifying the credentials.

With Regards
