I loged in to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and tried to view my 26as for A.Y. 2013-14. It gave me an eror due to large size of file you need to regidter on traces. I registered with my PAN on traces. And give request to download 26AS. So a txt file in zip made available to me against my request. So what is the password for .txt file? Thanking You.
P/w is the date of birth / Dt. of incorporation.
You can also request Form 26AS st. in pdf format
Date of birth/ Date of Incorporation. Do not use slash For example if DOB is 20th JAN 1985 USE 20011985

Yes, it is better to download pdf format but, when no of transaction is large as in case of companies then excel file will help compiling the data.
