One of my friend joined articleship in a small firm 6months ago but now he wants to work in a Big firm as the firm he is working in do not have much opportunities. I would like to know whether Big firms take these type of articles for the rest period who has already done 6-8 months of articleship??

Yes they do in first year of articles as transfer is allowed in the same period provided he has good recommendation.
